Parenting is a lifelong adventure! [1]

There are many resources available to support parents on this journey, and A Door of Hope Pregnancy Center is here to help. We offer free parenting lessons, mentorship, and material support.

There are various types of parenting relationships, and our staff and volunteers can help you explore your options. Here are some parenting options to consider:

1. Married Parenting

Marriage is a committed, legal relationship where two people promise to work together to achieve their parenting goals. If you are in a partnership, consider exploring the option of married parenting.

2. Co-Parenting

This involves sharing the responsibilities of parenting, whether or not you live together. Research shows that children who are raised by both their mother and father tend to thrive in adulthood.

3. Single Parenting

Being a single parent can be challenging, as it requires wearing many hats. However, don’t let this discourage you! One committed parent can make a significant impact on a child’s life. Remember, it’s okay to ask for help when you need it.

4. Temporary Foster Care or Adoption

If a parent cannot immediately meet a child’s needs, temporary foster care may be an option. Adoption is another route for those who feel unprepared to parent. Many adoptees thrive in supportive and loving adoptive homes. Make sure you understand your rights before voluntarily placing your child in foster care or making an adoption plan.

Explore these options to find what best suits your family’s needs!
